Dissolves in mineral oil? The whole world is in trouble. I spent a  
lot  of time in Disney's hydraulic shop.
We used it on everything. Oil, Air, water. paint .
The most important thing is to keep the wrap two threads back.
It can shear off and find it's way to every small hole in the system.
