[Healeys] Wiper Motor Grease / cable?

All -

I have my old Lucas CRT wiper motor apart and am wondering if packing the
gear case / brass armature bearing / cable with white lithium wheel bearing
grease is ok?

I note the 59 yr. old bearing grease in the case is still softish, but very
sticky, was wondering it that's the way this stuff is supposed to be?  If
not I'll clear it all out, the motor turns  a bit slow and I think it's
because of the sticky grease.

Thoughts?
