[Healeys] A bit of tuning advice

I did a TR3 once and failed to properly seat the intake manifold.  It appeared
tight at the top, but had 1/16" gap at the bottom where it connected to the
head - thus no vacumm.

Similar problem in running that you describe.

Sounds to me like a intake manifold leak (or other source of lean-out.
Throttle bushes, blown carb gaskets, etc.
