[Healeys] HD8 Teflon Bush insert question

All -

I am trying to insert new teflon bushes on the throttle shafts of my
HD8 carbs and am having a little bit of trouble getting them in.

I was wondering if anyone on the list has a good trick to get them
place easily and without damage.
