Steve, consider buying an info-red thermometer at Harbor Freight for about 25
dollars (usually they have 20% coupons) and aim it at the thermostat housing
and several areas on the bock after a 20 minute run. You might be surprised
that you are not as hot as you think. At the temps you are getting you would
loose coolant a bit. Nice thing is that you don't have to take anything apart
to test. I found a bit of a difference with the sleeved one I got from British
Car Specialist.
