I'd like to remind you all of Mike Salter's experience with Valvoline 
racing oil in the Targa Newfoundland. My memory of the exact details 
is vague, but essentially, after knocking a hole in the sump and 
losing all his oil, he drove for a number of miles under competition 
conditions, and didn't seem to do any damage....maybe he will pipe in 
with the full story!
