Have the bearing or bushing replaced. Most auto electric rebuilds can do
this.

I am beginning to hear a noise from the generator in my '65 BJ8.  I assume
it is a bearing or bushing.  Any advise where I might find a new or
rebuilt generator would be greatly appreciated.
