Don't forget the nasty cracks that occur in the top of the cast iron
100 head under the valve cover. The casting is very thin in several
areas and cracks easily. Engines stored with water in them and not
enough protection from freezing are prime candidates. If you unscrew
your oil filler cap and find moisture or a light brown slurry start
looking for a new head......
