[Healeys] non healey-moon landing

got to tell you this-apologies in advance.

40 years ago I had completed my doctorate and my wife and I (with little
money) decided to travel in France for 6 weeks. We were not keeping track of
time but it when  time we decided it was time to have a night in a first class
rather than a 4th class accomodation it turned out to be a wonderful hotel in
a park setting with a  3 star michelin restaurant. As we were sitting on the
patio we noticed this family of mom and dad (americans-we being their canadian
neighbours we new)  and little boy had a portable radio on their table (no
TV's in this place). While listening in we realized they were listening for
the moon landing-and so waas everybody in the place. Well when it happened we
all (staff included) stood up and clapped. The house provided the champagne.
Unbelieveable memory in the heart of Bordeaux.
