[Healeys] Gas gauge sender unit

The Ford brass float is a direct replacement for the plastic float you get
with a Moss sending unit. It does not work with the original float, at
least not with the original brass float for a BJ8 that is soldered to the
float arm.

I haven't tried this myself, but if I were going to try to find the leak in
a brass float I would dip it in liquid dishwashing detergent, and then heat
the float gently. The expanding air in the float should cause a bubble
where the leak is. I would fix the leak with a soldering iron.

Hi John,

I'm not sure I like doing this... But here is a link to
your site:

There is a part number for a replacement float from
Ford. Will that do it??
