[Healeys] O/D Solenoid Question

There are two seperate windings and when the plunger comes up there  
is a set of contacts under the rubber boot that change the circuit  
form the primary to the secondary windings.

If the adjustment is not correct it will not switch over and the  
primary winding will burn up and ruin the solenoid
