[Healeys] HD8 Carb. Question

If you cannot get a richer mixture with an SU something is amiss. False 
air, wrong jet, wrong needle, wrong spring, wrong fuel level, wrong 
(heavy) oil in damper.
Before playing around with the carbs make sure that valve clearances, 
valve timing, ingnition timing are spot on. If these are off you will 
get the wrong readings.
