[Healeys] Rear shroud latch bracket

Hi All,

I have a 1962 BT7.

My rear shroud is notched where the boot handle latch catches the 
strike on the hoop support bracket. If that makes sense to anyone.

Should the shroud be notched for the handle latch hook to clear the shroud?
