We sent our messages at about the same time. While I prefer using the  
28% overdrive, as RC points out, a 3000 would have a 22% to go with a  
3.91:1 rear end. 100 Six and earlier cars used a 28% with a 4.11:1  
rear end.

I've got a chart on my website showing how that translates to engine/ 
road speeds with a couple different tire sizes.
