[Healeys] boot lid seal orientation?

Fellow Healeyites,
I'm in the process of assembling my BJ7 after paint and I was wanting to
know the orientation of the boot lid seal.  One side is slightly thicker
than the other.  Does the thicker portion of the seal go on the inside of
the perimeter of the boot channel or on the outside?  Thanks in advance!
