In Aust. we call this "a big balls up"
Maybe used to keep the sludge in the oil sump stirred up and in suspension or
more likely it was installed at the first service to piss-off and keep on edge
an over complaining owner. Maybe an over rich zinc filled oil that coagulated
into a ball?
