[Healeys] Alternator Question

Jim, with the regulator gutted the regulator box becomes a junction box.
There is no wiring to be done inside the box, but the wiring for the
alternator installation is simply connected to the terminals of the
regulator box as shown on the diagram.

I did not gut my regulator, but just disabled its function by unsoldering
two small coil wires from the top tab, and one from the bottom, then
insulating the ends. To return the regulator to its normal function (if
anyone ever desires to do so), just resolder the wires.

Subject: [Healeys] Alternator Question

Listers,

Thanks for all the replies as to the conversion of mounting the
alternator in place of the generator.

Obviously I was not clear what I was looking for. I have the alternator
installed, belt on and adjusted, brown wire connected to alternator.

I gutted the regulator, and expect to make the connections inside the
cover, using the same wiring connections to the connectors outside the
reg box. My question is what wires connect to what inside the box. I am
aware the ground is no longer used.

Thanks,

Jim
