Yes, John you're quite right. They've never been the same since they were
bought out.
If you live in England though they are (were?) remarkable for their
chrome/stainless wire wheels. Consistently cheaper than the main distributor
whose name escapes me. Very strange.
I very seldom use SC now. Maybe one should call them ** in this public
forum?

Have you ever tried SCParts in UK-now that is a different story!- so/so 
parts at times-very so/so service most of the time. Will reply to emails 
when you want to order something, but when you question something, never 
answer them
Never tried Moss Motors so cannot comment
