You can buy the bushings and have that rebushed by a local shop.  Follow the
instructions to complete the job in an AH 3000 repair manual.

My mechanic has found some play in the steering idler on my 1966 BJ8.

I am wondering what the list would recommend ?  Rebuild with new bearings or
replace with a new assembly. Also, who might be the the best source for this

part ?
