[Healeys] gearbox woes

Unfortunately the answer isn't an easy one.   Replace the seals and use an 
up to date sealant. (Hylamar etc.)     The brass parts are probably the 
sync. rings.   They wear over time since they are working against steel 
gears.
After you replace the seals  you can switch over to the Redline Mt90 fluid 
that helps in shifting.

You can upgrade to the new and improved (expensive sync. rings) to help the 
wear problem.
