[Healeys] knock

my bj8 has a low volume knock in the front of the engine when it is first started up after the engine has gotten hot.  will not do it when engine is cold.  the knock disappears within a few seconds and will not come back until engine is shut down for a few minutes when hot.  as soon as oil pressure comes up, knock is gone.  do not know if oil prressure or time is the relevant factor.  have replaced con rod bearings even though ones in car were at spec.  could it be a timing chain or chain tensioner.  all valves check good for lift and clearance.  any help appreciated.   hjim
