[Healeys] fuel gallon marks by observation

I've observed the following marks by adding water to a completely dry
undistorted original tank mounted on sawhorses and leveled. I've repeated
this twice as a check:

2 Gal        15/16"
4 G           1-7/8"
6 G           2-9/16"
8 G           3-15/16"
10 G         4"
12 G         5-1/8"
13.75 G   6-3/4"

It's important that the side with the marks is down and against the side of
the filler tube.
