Dave -

The sad part of it all is that whether you make a crappy restoration part or
one that is perfect like it came from the factory, it all costs the same in
materials and man hours.  The problem is the people who procure the stuff
for SC Parts, Moss and AH Spares don't spend enough effort to make sure the
parts are right. Maybe the powers at be are too cheap to hire sufficient
staff techies to follow through with all of their suppliers.

Always order your parts not direct from Moss but through a restoration shop
like British Car Specialists... and question them on every part as well
anyway... that way you should be able to weed out half the garbage in the
process.
