I had a look at the ATL site. The info on the gauge is under "level gauge
installation". The sender is made up of a capacitance probe and a transmitter
built into the head. The transmitter converts the capacitance measurement into
a resistance (ohms) which is then compatible with the healey fuel gauge. The
span and zero adjustments on the transmitter take care of any matching
worries. It should be a lot more reliable and easier to set up than the
original float type gauge. I've used similar devices many times on the
chemical complexes I work on.
