I remember coming up on a low bridge sign, at 110 KPH, with the clearance in Meters. Quick conversion in my head from feet and I thought we were OK but I told the kids to hold on, we may be stopping quickly. <p>You are correct, there are minor bridge tolls on the connector from Route 81 to the 401 in Canada. EZPass works. No issue like Marty is referring to.</p>
<p>The toll issue Marty is referring to is a newish toll road built to bypass Toronto. From what I understand, you can still take the old road and avoid the toll. I have no firsthand knowledge of this, but several of our guys do navigate this every year and can chime in.</p>

If you are over 11000 pounds (5000kg) you must have a 407etr transponder. My first trip with the MH and trailer I saw the signs but just assumed that was for commercial vehicles. I assumed wrong. I about crapped when I got the bill in the mail. In addition to the tolls, that weren't cheap, there was $150 in camera fees. I use the 407etr each year to Mosport and like it. But now carry the 407etr transponder.
