I find the performance new to be pretty similar. However, the R888R tends to get loose and greasy when hot, 2/3 of the way through a race in the summer, where the Speedster holds up better for the duration. Speedsters wear faster, and cost more. Toyos wear like iron, but after 10-12 heat cycles they are not as good. I used to have the Toyos shaved, no need to do that with the Speedsters.<div>Just my 2 cents - running 205/60-13s on the GT6. </div><div>Can’t find good info on the R7 compound. Someone could call Hoosier and ask. </div><div>TDRs are a bias ply tire and don’t like negative camber (according to the Hoosier engineers) where the radial Speedster works well with it. I run almost 3 degrees negative front and rear. Lots of effort to switch between the two tires and compare. Looking at cars with TDRs on the track, they tend to “drift” more.
