I am the current caretaker of Red 14, now #146. When I purchased it, I knew when I called Bob to discuss the particulars of picking up the car I made the right choice. He was so pleased I was coming to get it in person so he could "introduce me to the car". What could have been a 30-minute transaction turned into a shop tour and a 2-hour dinner at their favorite Mexican restaurant. I was then invited to return to Texas to complete my drivers' school and Bob was there to explain everything he did with the car in between races and while I was on track he sat with my wife cheering me on and explaining everything to her. When I was promoted into the regular race group Bob couldn't get the tape out fast enough to put the X on the car. I will miss sending him updates on the car.
