Combustion chambers too. Put a lot of weld in the exhaust valve pockets. It is not fun hand grinding cast iron but it was worth it, moths later. The thing really flows though. Added a bunch of aluminum to the intake and removed just as much. I never got it to flow as well as the head so went with dual DCOE’s. We studied heads. I cut a stock head on a band saw at different places. Kinda looked at it deeply. I mentioned that the only best way to get 14.5: 1 CR is to make the combustion chamber small and keep the thickness of the head stock. Utilizing flat top pistons. ( he did not like pop ups). <o:p></o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><br><br><o:p></o:p></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal>Easy to do once you weld up the combustion chamber and mill the chamber to a known volume. While at it make the intake runner better and sized right.
