I like the proxies better than the Speedsters, they last longer and don't fall off halfway through a race. just my opinion. and the price is better. I use a Kubota compact alternator they are rated for 12000 rpm, but I still made a larger pulley to slow it down a bit
never had an issue with the charging.

Mike TR4

On Tue, Feb 6, 2024 at 3:12 PM finishing Touch via Fot <fot@autox.team.net> wrote:

I have two questions:

1.Has anyone raced both the Hoosier Speedsters and the Toyo Proxie
R888Rs. I'm curious what the comparisons would be in regards to dry
traction and longevity. I just did some pricing and the difference
between the two are almost $400 a set (four).
2. I Would also appreciate any suggestions on an after-market (smaller)
alternator for a TR6 Motor.

Thanks in advance,
