I use the break in oil for an hour or two on the stand, or a couple of track sessions, the switch to the Driven 30 wt. These new oils (well not new but modern) are awesome and flow at low temps and protect at high. No need for the 20-40/20-50’s of Christmas past. I too have had great success with VR1, but on my last new racing cam, the irreplaceable Larry Young 310, I used Driven Break In oil, first.
