The pinion gear is moving out and spinning. </div><div><br></div><div>Inspection of pinion gear shows contact pattern at less than 50%. Inspection of ring gear shows same patters. I installed one on a new engine and after 15/20 starts, the starter spins but does not engage the ring gear.
