<div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">I would not be surprised to learn that the W-58 is a bolt-up. When I was racing, I used an electronic distributor out of a Nissan/Datsun B-210 (and a number of other applications). It fit right into the TR-4 block, all I
had to do was change the drive gear. And then there's the Miata. The Japanese copied a lot from the British.</div>

<div>A 3-4” guide pin in one of the bell housing bolt holes on the engine block and a Phillips screwdriver in a starter motor mounting hole helps a lot. Also putting the transmission in gear so you can rotate the splines by turning the tail shaft helps as
well. Works on both a W-58 and a TR gearbox.
<div>Also, when you mount the pressure plate make sure the clutch alignment tool floats freely in the clutch.<br clear="none">

We have used a Toyota w58 transmission for several years.and have great problems getting the transmission and bell housing reassembled very hard to get splines to line up for a good fit. Any suggestions <br clear="none">
