Both are radial, but very different construction. I use the radial slicks on my FP Miata with cold pressures around 20-22 psi at Hoosier's recommendation. I use R7s on my TR3 with cold tire pressures around 30 psi. I have also used the Hoosier SM 7.5 tires on my Miata. They are similar to the R7s and also are around 30 psi cold.
