<div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">The TR-4A clutch and pressure plate (diaphragm style) will work, but you have to redrill the flywheel for the TR-4A bolts and dowel pins (get a well qualified machine shop to do this). If you have the early TR-3 (I think up to VIN 50,000) it used a different style starter motor. The early cars had a long starter which engages the flywheel from the front. After 50,000 they switched to a shorter started which engages from the rear of the flywheel. All later TR-3's, TR-4's and TR-4A's used this same starter. So, if you switch flywheels, make sure you have the right starter. The bell housing also changed at TR-3 50,000 to accommodate the later starter. <br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">If your TR-3 is after VIN number 50,000 you can bolt on a TR-4A flywheel, which will accommodate the TR-4A diaphragm style clutch, with no further changes.
