<div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">I've been reading this thread and what worked for me in my street TR3A along with a high capacity water pump and electric fan was the old hot rod trick of replacing the thermostat with a "water restrictor disc' This is nothing more than a aluminum disc with a hole in it. The kit comes with 3 discs with different size holes. I got them from Jeggs #555-51105 $6.39. I've had the TR3 for 49 years and it always ran hot. Even in hot weather in a 2 mph parade I rarely get above 190 degrees now. Everyone of these cars is different. My stock TR4A has nothing more than the TR6 multiblade fan and upgraded water pump and I can't get it over 160 degrees. It could be used as a farm engine!!! Conversely I run no thermostat in my 69 Datsun 2000 vintage race car (I know blasphemy) and an electric fan for sitting on the grid.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div>
