Very heavy gauge steal. Lock aimed down so it is hard to work. Designed to be hard to pry. Expensive in the world of locks. I saw where ANOTHER trailer and race car got stolen by a dirtbag this morning. FWIW I recently installed a trailer alarm system on my enclosed trailer. Not cheap at around $600 but I figure cheaper than replacing my stuff. It was a pretty painless install
even for me. It has door sensors and a motion sensor. If it is triggered an alarm goes off, the lights start flashing and it applies the trailer brakes. </div>
