<div dir="ltr">That is an inline brake dampener. It is 1960's anti-lock. It absorbs the pulsing in the brake line and peddle due to things like a warped rotor or out of round drum. Any ideas? As you can see by the fittings on the sides, it was plumbed into the brake line.
