I don't know why I was thinking one axle shaft was shorter than the other (it's been a long time since I rebuilt one, my race car had IRS). Anyway, I checked the TR-2/3 the TR-4 & TR-4A parts books and all show just pone part number for both rear axle shafts. Therefore, contrary to my earlier comment, I guess they were the same length. I'd still like to know which rear axle this (25") one came from (TR-3 or TR-4). Thanks in advance for your help.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">First item is a transmission mainshaft. The nose of this shaft (where it slides into the roller bearing) measures .875" in diameter. I think this is a TR-4 mainshaft, but it could be a TR-6. I think the TR-6 mainshaft nose was slightly smaller in diameter than the TR-4, but I can't remember the diameters of each. Can someone help me identifies which this is?</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Second item is a rear axle shaft. It measures 25" long. First, is it from a TR-3 or TR-4 rear axle? I know that the two axle shafts in a unit were different lengths.
