<div dir="ltr">Hi John, we got one for my 97yr mother in law who lives next door. They work, she fat fingered the call button one morning while putting it on (bracelet model). I was making coffee, looked out the window and saw two cops pounding on her door (she's about a deaf as you can get). I went over, cleared things up but now she's afraid to put it on again. I installed a couple of phones on each level of her house directly on the floor. She's fallen, and can't get up (cliche but true) but can make her way to the floor phones and call us for help. <div><br></div><div>Not the best solution but something she'll use.</div><div><br></div><div>So related to the call button, don't roll over on it while under the car (Like I'm always doing with the remote alarm on my car keys).</div><div><br></div><div>I have an Echo smart speaker (Alexa, play Deep Purple) in the garage for music. I set it up to work as an intercom so my wife can call me back to the house. On eye protection, I prefer to use a visor. Same sort of thing as a welding<br>

And lastly, I'm now on my own, widowed. I've wondered what I could do if<br>
injured/disabled in the workshop, beyond struggling to the phone, so carry a<br>
mobile in the overalls. But there are personal alarms that the disabled<br>
elderly can carry, usually on a necklace. Press the red button, and the<br>
call centre can speak to you, as you lie there! Anyone used one?<br>
