<div dir="auto">I haven’t had long enough experience with this to know yet how well it protects against corrosion but it does produce a nice black finish that is reputedly rust resistant. Heat up the clean parts and drop them in used motor oil (the dirtier, the better, presumably, so it’s time to finally change the oil in that old lawnmower). Stand back and provide good ventilation.</div>

I'm assuming you mean 'anodizing' - oxidizing is easy, just let the parts sit somewhere. They will oxidize, or rust, on their own.<br />

It is possible to anodize aluminum at home, though it is not that simple. Didn't Eastwood have a zinc or nickel plating kit available at one time?<br />
