<div>I have rebuilt over a hundred of these over the years and can tell you that some of them will require up to 40 tons of pressure on a good press and good fitting press plates.  Please do not heat these up and quench or anything of the sort, same with the stock wheel hubs.  I have come across many flanges both inner and outer that had cracks running along the keyway slot and evidence of severe heating.  You are playing with disaster if these should completely fail under a load.  And as stated if the small step on the shaft has been removed by some hack get a new one or again disaster can happen.</div>

<div><span style="color:black;font-family:sans-serif;font-size:10pt">the flange fits on a tapered shaft which is the bear...the bearing doesn't take much at all...if you do happen to find a shop that can get it apart for you make sure you make a note of the bearing position on the shaft...take a measurement before you press it off for reference. I use a 50 ton press to get the flange apart...usually takes at least 20 tons...sometimes more...always wrap a towel around the assembly...dont think I've ever had one i couldn't get apart.</span></div>
