<DIV>At the 2011 Runoffs in the post-race tech line, the scrute pulled a plumb
bob out of his pocket and suggested my air dam was wider than the bodywork of my
Spitfire. He was looking at the fiberglass hood. Pointed out to him it could not
be any further in as it was directly attached to the front valance which, after
some 47 years of life, did not precisely line up with the hood, but it was
original bodywork – hidden behind the dam but required to be on the car -- while
the hood wasn’t OEM. (I’d add the scrute was a friend who was yanking my chain

started issuing them. SVRA has been super helpful to us and I
would think they would know about that or where to direct you to learn
