<div><font size="2">If you're using a complete off-the-shelf clutch kit, there should be absolutely no adjustment/shimming required.</font></div>

 also that we're not "spacing" the PP out any distance, the most I've 
had to do is shim under .030, usually considerably less.</font></div>

 PP is just a big bellville washer that compresses axially with 
increasing pressure produced (clamping force) as it's compressed, up until the overcenter point, and the pivot points which 
determine the arm length ratio result in little travel in the plate (ie 
shimming it) and a lot on the TO bearing contact end.<br>

<div><font size="2">In other words the shim required is usually pretty thin, it's almost a matter of fine-tuning a given combination, not to correct another problem...<br>

 they are pointing inwards a bit, it is not correct. You can made a decision by measuring how much the fingers are moving inward when tightening the bolts : if it is more than 3 mm it is not correct and the feel in the clutch pedal won't be normal eather.</span></div>

 So when the hydraulics is engaged the throw out will press the clutch fingers deflecting inward (invert from when on the bench). Makes me uncomfortable / doesn't seem right. </span></div>
