<div dir="ltr"><div><br></div><div>Yup, seems to have started many many years ago at Lime Rock, where there is no racing on Sunday because of the church across the street. Absolutely no engines before or after certain times of day, nothing louder than certain db limit (measured at the same point every weekend), etc. <br></div><div><br></div><div>You end up having a muffler, a director tip to 'point' the noise away from the meter, and knowing where to lift to cut off the noise. :)</div><div><br></div><div>My Spitfire was right on the limit on bad days (humidity makes a huge difference) so I kept a director tip in the trailer. Worked wonders. The FV, on the other hand, doesn't even come close to the limit with an open exhaust...But 2/3 the weight and half the HP. :)</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr">On Tue, Oct 9, 2018 at 3:29 PM Chris Marx via Fot <<a href="mailto:fot@autox.team.net">fot@autox.team.net</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div lang="DE" link="blue" vlink="purple"><div class="m_-6093483253167891305WordSection1"><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">I had no idea that there are noise limits in USA for race cars.<u></u><u></u></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Thought that is only in Europe.<u></u><u></u></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><u></u> <u></u></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Cheers<u></u><u></u></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Chris<u></u><u></u></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><u></u> <u></u></span></p><div><div style="border:none;border-top:solid #e1e1e1 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0cm 0cm 0cm"><p class="MsoNormal"><b>Von:</b> Fot <<a href="mailto:fot-bounces@autox.team.net" target="_blank">fot-bounces@autox.team.net</a>> <b>Im Auftrag von </b>Brian Dennis via Fot<br><b>Gesendet:</b> Montag, 8.
