There is a cheaper version but you can’t by parts for it. Sells as a unit. I used to rebuild my transmissions frequently and was prepping to switch to Toyota five speed when Tony suggested the Quaife. Couldn’t be happier with it. I had some shifting issues at the CRC race so I pulled the cover to check the dogs. They look great. It was just the shifter getting sticky. <div>Steve Yott recently completed a dog box conversion. So far 3 sessions on the box and all is good.</div>
<div>I have a history of killing gearboxes and got quite good a replacing synchros in English Ford gearboxes.</div>
<div>I switched to dog box in the English Ford and have had zero problems in 25 races.</div>
<div>Hopefully Triumph gearbox does as well.</div>
