Although the rain ended early in the a.m. Saturday, the track was wet everywhere and still damp in places for Sunday.</p><p style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(51, 51, 51);">23 started the race.</p><p style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(51, 51, 51);">I qualified third, behind the pole Lotus Mk6 and MGA. </p><p style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(51, 51, 51);">Two other fast competitors, the Tatum Special and Maserati 200SI had problems and didn't qualify. <br clear="none">I passed the second and pole starters early in the first lap and led the rest of the race, gaining as much as a 20 second lead before catching the back markers. I lapped up to 16th before seeing the one lap signal, then cooled it a bit for a 12.5 second gap for the win. </p><p style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(51, 51, 51);">The Lotus finished 2nd, Healey 3000 3rd, Alfa TZ 4th, MGA 5th, Lotus 11 6th, Maserati 200SI 7th to name a few. </p><p style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(51, 51, 51);">What a race! </p><p style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(51, 51, 51);">Video to follow.</p><p style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(51, 51, 51);"><br clear="none"></p><p style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(51, 51, 51);">Dave H.</p></div><p style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif;color:rgb(51, 51, 51);"><br clear="none"></p>
