            <div>Stock Spit clutches even current heavy duty ones won't stand up to 7000 RPM.  I don't know if its the state of materials used today due to EPA regs but I ripped to pressure plate side friction material off a brand new one in less than 20 laps.  Finally went to a custom Quarter Master racing clutch and hydraulic release bearing which removed the release bearing and operating lever from the system.  Took some fabrication and experimenting but solved the problem<br></div><div><br></div>

<div>A stock clutch came apart for me at an autocross about 25 years ago and looked about the same as the one that Ted sent.  I don't recall if it was a DNF.  It was a street car that I drove to the autoX.  Had to get a friend with a trailer to give me a tow home.  Merry Christmas!  Joe(B)<br clear="none">
