I've used both : both are very heat resistant and the Carboteck has the highest friction. You can set the brake bias to the rear as much as needed (i.e. 5/3 pressure ratio to the rear on a dry track)without overheating (lightweight brakedrums with ventilation drillings). They are expensive though : 250 - 300 £ + VAT / set. Cambridge Motorsport are also selling rear shoes with Mintex20 linings, 108 £ + VAT.</div><div>The wear rate of the Carboteck linings seems to depend much on the temperature.</div><div>Marcel</div><div><br></div><hr id="zwchr" data-marker="__DIVIDER__"><div data-marker="__HEADERS__"><b>Van: </b>"fot" <<a href="mailto:fot@autox.team.net">fot@autox.team.net</a>><br><b>Aan: </b>"fot" <<a href="mailto:fot@autox.team.net">fot@autox.team.net</a>><br><b>Cc: </b>"ryan murphy" <<a href="mailto:ryan.murphy@fdlco.wi.gov">ryan.murphy@fdlco.wi.gov</a>><br><b>Verzonden: </b>Woensdag 18 oktober 2017 18:31:35<br><b>Onderwerp: </b>[Fot] Supplier for Brake shoes for TR4<br></div><div><br></div><div data-marker="__QUOTED_TEXT__"><div class="WordSection1"><p class="MsoNormal">The left rear brake shoe lining came off the shoe at Blackhawk Farms last weekend. I am looking for suppliers for brake shoes with riveted linings as the one that came off was a “glued” lining. I’d also like to specify the lining to use, the Carbotech linings whose pads we use and like on the front discs. I’m also open to any suggestions about what to use for the rear brake shoes. The above would just be my preference based on the latest experience. I see Revington has competition shoes with “Mintex 20” linings I think for about $120 a set which appear to be rivited.
