Present were event co-chair Paul King (GT6), Mike Harmuth (Mk 1 Spitfire), Rick McCurdy and myself with my 63 TR6. Rick suffered an axle problem during practice sessions on Thursday that ended his weekend. Mike and Paul seemed to run fine all weekend and I did fairly well considering that the car had no engine about two weeks prior to the event. My plan was to break the replacement piston rings in slowly and ramp my times up as the parts wore in and limited the engine to under 6k RPMs. That plan seems to have worked okay with the lap times dropping a few tenths every session. I had some great dicing with a Series 2 Lotus 7 in all of my races, but once I abandoned the 6K redline, I got down into the 1:24's which was good for fast lap for the weekend for Group 2. All-in-all, it was a fun event and I'll def. consider attending again in 2017. FOT support was also available with Rob Dardano and Dennis Culligan crewing respsectively for myself and Mike H <br></div><div id="yiv5462446919yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1466953494493_36124" dir="ltr">For non-Triumph interests, there was a fairly good turnout of Alfa Romeos including a pre-war GP car and a post-war F1 car. The straight eight engines sound pretty amazing. There were probably 25 Alfas racing and there were some pretty mice street Alfas also present for the weekend.</div><div id="yiv5462446919yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1466953494493_36223" dir="ltr">Thumbs up to FOT Paul King for his efforts as event co-chair!</div><div id="yiv5462446919yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1466953494493_36238" dir="ltr">Regards,</div><div id="yiv5462446919yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1466953494493_36239" dir="ltr">Bob Lang</div></div></div></div><br><br></div> </div> </div> </div></div></body></html>
