Everything from Ship Diesels to Turbines and 3 Degrees will be fine and you won’t have any issues at that angle. Uni joints require the movement to induce proper lubrication of the rollers/cup etc. The movement ‘pumps’ the grease around and stops a lot of other bad things happening when the rollers are stationery.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";color:#1F497D'>Always remember, that you are measuring these angle etc. etc. while the car is stationery and no dynamic movement is happening through mounts and/or the chassis. They are NOT all equal. Try and get the Uni Joints that has a multitudes of SMALL FINE rollers in the cups. Rather than a few coarse rollers. I raised the back of the transmission 1 3/16 inches and the downward angle went from 6 1/2 degrees to 3 1/2 degrees. I removed the aluminum 1 1/4 inch spacers from the front diff mount and the angle went from 5 1/2 downward to 1/2 degree up, giving us a total of 3 degree difference. <o:p></o:p></p><p style='margin-left:36.0pt'>The guy at the driveline shop told me that 3 degrees was fine, that I didn't want perfect alignment because it would wear the needles in the u-joint into the cap without some motion. <o:p></o:p></p><p style='margin-left:36.0pt'>Next we will lower the front of the engine as much as possible so we will able to lower the back of the transmission closer to the stock height while keeping the new angles. <o:p></o:p></p><p style='margin-left:36.0pt'>And then start all of the mods required because of the height changes.<o:p></o:p></p><p style='margin-left:36.0pt'>Shooting for Elkhart Lake in May.<o:p></o:p></p><p style='margin-left:36.0pt'>Sincerely,<o:p></o:p></p><p style='margin-left:36.0pt'>Dave and Alex<o:p></o:p></p></div></body></html>
